My Rating

Rating: 4 out of 5.

“Keys Of Knowledge No.06 – Bridges And Man: The Brooklyn Bridge”

Have you ever wondered when New York City’s longest suspension bridge was built? Did you know its name? How many times has the Brooklyn Bridge been sold under false pretense? These are just some of the answers you will find in this episode of Keys of Knowledge!

“The Metal Stealers”

Ghosts of the past! Strangely dressed men in a longboat have been raiding the N’Yark coastline for scrap metal. But who are these foreigners who wear horned helmets and fly colored sails?

As Mindor and Sharmaine investigate the harbor area, they engage the raiders as they vandalize a relic from the past. The Statue of Liberty is flush with copper metal and their leader, Thorr, wants every last ounce of it. Without the Mighty Samson nearby, the tinkerer and his daughter are quickly captured. What will become of Samson’s friends?

“Sinister Stronghold”

Even the Mighty Samson is no stranger to the inside of a prison cell. After battling his way from the ship, then the sea, our hero has made it to the promised land of Greelynd. There, Samson is overwhelmed by Thorr’s lost-world “technologies” and now waits for the Executioner’s axe.

Elsewhere, in Thorr’s Stronghold, Sharmaine has promised her hand to the ruthless dictator on the condition that Samson and her confused father go free. But will Thorr keep his promise? Collect the series to find out!

“Keys Of Knowledge – The Statue Of Liberty”

Lady Liberty is the beacon for all those seeking freedom in the Americas. Where did the statue come from? Who designed and sculpted this iconic masterpiece? Those answers are all here in Gold Key Comics Keys of Knowledge!

Reviewer Notes

The post-apocalyptic world of Samson and his friends has just grown larger! The great descendants of the Scandinavian bloodlines have survived nuclear Armageddon. Now they seek to rebuild the warmachines of their ancestors. With the ancient metals found in N’Yark harbor, their leader can do just that!

The storyline in issue #4 is not very complex. However, it is jam-packed with hack-and-slash adventures. There is never a dull moment here, and the list of dangerous mutant animals grows bigger. I give this comic a solid four out of five stars.  Go forth and collect this series. You will not be disappointed!
