“The Devil In Iron”
The morning fog had helped camouflage Conan as he beached his small fishing boat on the shore of Xapur Island. In a time of war, any prying eyes looking to sabotage his rescue mission would be fatal; for somewhere up above, nestled in the cliff peak lay the ruined city of Dagonia. There, Conan would find a kidnapped slave woman, Octavia, once the daughter of Nemedian royalty.
As the sun pushed back the shadows from the jungle canopy, Conan began to climb a weathered staircase partially obscured by the thick underbrush. This was not his first time on this isle, nor the Vilayet Sea. During his time as mercenary leader, Conan brokered several deals with Vilayet Pirates in this isolated locality. He knew the hidden intricacies and how to reach the ruins above. What Conan did not expect to find at the top of the cliffs chilled him to his very core. The city of Dagonia stands complete once again.. Crom!
How could an entire city be rebuilt in less than a month’s time? Will Jehungir Agha and his men find ample opportunity to slay the leader of Westermarck Wolves? Is there a giant that stalks the jungle island of Xapur? Collect the series to find out!
“An Interview With Conan Artist John Buscema”
One of the industry greats sits down for an interview with Titan Comics. John Buscema is a legend at Marvel Comics and responsible for many Conan titles released over the decades. Look no further if you are a Buscema fan!
Review
Robert E Howard’s classic story The Devil In Iron has returned for another generation of readers to enjoy. This rendition was originally published by Marvel Comics in Savage Sword of Conan No.15 (1975). Titan has released this colored version, remastered to bring out every bit of awesomeness from Roy Thomas, John Buscema, and the others who produced this comic book.
This has been my favorite reprint story released by Titan thus far. I give Reforged No.02 five out of five stars. Get this book today!
