“Fallen Angels!”
Vyrbodin has recovered from his millennium-long imprisonment! With the help of the mortal Doctor Strange, Queen Aelsa and her angels of Heven must stop the maniacal dark elf sorcerer from slaughtering every child across the nine realms. Strange needs answers and fast! But where do they start? The throne room of Aelsa it is!
With the bifrost destroyed, the only way to reach the deep space fortress of Heven is via magic portals. What a coincidence, that is one of Stephen Strange’s specialties. In moments, Rhialla and the Sorcerer Supreme of Asgard arrive on Heven, but are they the only ones to seek the queen’s counsel? Don’t let your guard down Doctor Strange, no matter how many angels surround you.
Why did Odin cast out Heven and all of its Angels? What is the secret behind Rhialla’s doppelgänger? Will Stephen Strange be consumed by the raw power of the Asgardian relics? Collect the series to find out!
Review
The mystery continues as Strange and the Angels of Heven move to fix their former mistakes. I know very little about the Thor universe, so I’m assuming this Vyrbodin guy is an ongoing character. If so, is he really this big of a threat? I would be more engaged in the story if I knew who these characters were.
The writing is solid. The art is top tier but leans heavily towards the Anime style. Other than that, I look forward to the next issue. I give this book three out of five stars.
