One World Under Doom – Volume 01 Issue 02

One World Under Doom – Volume 01 Issue 02
My Rating

“Free The World”

Freedom, health, and prosperity. This has been the political jargon the mighty Sorcerer Supreme has used to justify his global takeover. But the true heroes of the Earth know Doctor Doom too well. The time has come for The Fantastic Four to lead the fight against their lifetime nemesis and his painted lies.

As Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben develop their plans to expose Victor, Valeria has sequestered herself in the Baxter Building to meet an old acquaintance. Unknown to her, she is about to face the trial of her lifetime. If only she had time to cram for this debate. When a fascist dictator rules by deceit, one has to prepare for any possible outcome.

Will The Fantastic Four be able to convince the world that Doctor Doom’s intentions are fictitious at best? Can the Avengers swallow their pride long enough to launch a full-out assault on Doom before Earth falls into chaos? Who is the infamous Princess the Pooch? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

If you can sift through the blatant left-wing political agenda that Marvel writers are intent on pushing upon the readers, you will find a well-written story with several surprises throughout. However, I have to say I’m disappointed with Ryan North here, as he seems to have gone full in with the anti-Trump rhetoric that has drowned every arm of the entertainment industry.

There are three slick reveals that warrant four out of five stars for issue #02. If you are bothered by the continuing assault of the liberal mindset in your comic books, I suggest skipping this series. Unfortunately, as a hardcore fan of The Fantastic Four, I have to hang-on for the long run.
