“Blood Of Innocence – Chapter Five”
Surrounded! The Road Disciples biker gang and a team of Conclave vampire hitmen have been surrounded by an agency of high-tech undead called Society Of The Advancement Of Vampire Ecology. With overwhelming firepower and a fleet of Apache attack helicopters, all must surrender or be irradiated. Woah, where did they get those wonderful toys?!
And what about Sunshine Sam? As the vampire factions exchange quips on the desert Mesa, the leader of the Disciples has begun a ritual nearby to release a Gyre – powerful blood magic that can consume the Earth. If Sam can’t defeat his ancient enemies, he will bring down the entire world around them. Unless the chosen one, a high school girl from Phoenix, Arizona, releases her full potential to stop the madness. But Scarlett is MIA.

Review
So… Trevin Mclachlin isn’t the Phantom Stranger. Whaaat?! There is a lot more going on here than I imagined. The story is definitely not tied to the world of Marv Wolfman‘s Weirdoverse. However, it is just as interesting.
The letters page at the back of the book gives a nice breakdown of each faction and character so far. If you are into obscure horror comic books, DC Comics Scarlett should be on your radar. I give issue #4 a fun filled four out of five stars.
