“All In – Part 01”
Suspended! Wait, what?! How do you suspend a partner in a somewhat famous but not too exclusive lower Manhattan law firm? Sorry Jen, you’ve been benched. But what about your clients?
Jack of Hearts, say hello to your new roommates Karkas and Ransak, the two Deviants misplaced by Lower West Side slumlords. But She-Hulk, are they house-broken? No matter, time for some much needed vacation time. Load up the flying car, Jack has reservations at the only spot next to the sun. Welcome to Club Sol!
Can She-Hulk trust her new clients not to trash Janet Van Dyne’s luxury apartment? How is Jack of Hearts paying for all the upcharges at the intergalactic Poconos? Is that a 1959 Dodge Coronet flying through space? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
It’s back to the past as the editor tells us to dust off those volume one Sensational She-Hulk books as we are definitely going there. I don’t know what that means exactly, but hopefully, Rainbow can recapture some of the magic from the original John Bryne run. At this time, there is no comparison between the two entities.
This issue was decent, with Karkas and Ransak carrying the comedy for the most part. She-Hulk breaks out her flying Dodge from issue #8 of the original series, and we get introduced to another new character. All in all, I’m giving this issue three out of five stars. I recommend collecting the original run of Sensational She-Hulk if you have the money. It’s still my favorite of all the iterations of the Jade Giantess. Until next time…
