“All In – Part 02”
Old flames can be found even in a space casino orbiting the sun. Now Jack of Hearts is stuck between a hulk and a nun place. What will he do to set things right? Don’t as Drapurg, he of the horde.
Meanwhile, as She-Hulk attempts to rescue her flying Dodge Coronet from the Club Sol’s impound lot, a purposeless Ganymede accepts a job as the head of security for a defunct intergalactic warlord. Who is Drapurg, and who destroyed over half of his horde? Maybe Jennifer Jennifer Walters has a clue? Just don’t ask her where to get chicken tenders because the hotel kitchen is closed!
What is the history between Jack of Hearts and the space nun called Ganymede? Does shrimp cocktail really taste better in space? Will She-Hulk run out of generic Kleenex before the next shift change? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
The storyline gets advanced slightly in part two of “All In”, but not by much. The comedy is there, which I like. However, it seems Rainbow Rowell is more focused on proving her knowledge of back issues in the Marvel catalog. It’s cool, I guess, but most of the newer readers will probably never be able to find the referenced books in this issue.
As a fan, I will definitely check out the books in the callbacks. For this issue, the storyline really didn’t go anywhere. It’s more of the “slice of life” stuff, in my opinion. I enjoy some of it in the right places. I just hope this version of Sensational She-Hulk doesn’t fall back into the rut of its predecessor. I give issue fourteen three out of five stars.
