My Rating
Morning comes and two love birds wake to an uneasy glee. Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, and Jack of Hearts finally gave into their Baser instincts among other lustful needs. Now both of them question their deeds. It doesn’t take long for both to agree it was a good thing. Time for coffee!
A few hours later and a quick shower, She-Hulk has left for a Saturday morning office meeting with her assistant Awesome Andy. The walking supercomputer has a favor to ask Jennifer. Andy has a fellow robot in need of legal counsel. As the green goddess enters her office she comes face to face with DOOM!
Will Jack of Hearts be haunting his house in Connecticut? Can Awesome Andy and ex-Runaway turned cyborg Victor Mancha convince Jennifer to take on a traffic violation case? Does April and Mark deserve a second chance after almost destroying a local Starlucks coffee? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
whelp, She-Hulk issue number seven went missing in action with a brief delay, but it is finally here. With the amount of story I’m wondering if Marvel did a rewrite.
I was reviewing this series on the League of Comic Book Geeks app and I was not very complimentary. As a fan of the original Savage She-Hulk and Sensational She-Hulk series I wasn’t very impressed with the writing (or lack of) in this new series. It seems Marvel is more interested in pumping out books with minimal dialog, big multi-panel art, and variant covers rather than telling a compelling story.
In issue number seven we finally get what I would consider a traditional story. I enjoyed this issue. Victor Mancha, the cyborg character from the Runaways, takes part in this story. I’m not very knowledgeable of the newer characters, but I did watch the Runaway TV series and read a few of the comics. I like when Marvel writers use crossover characters in the legacy stories. Hopefully this series gets on track and pulls off an interesting series. I’m going to give issue number seven 4 Doombots out of 5. I am DOOM!
