“And Faith, Undying…”
Satan has brought death to the small village of Aubermach! As Solomon Kane reconciles with an old friend and fellow Englishmen, a savage beast slaughters under the full moon light. A curse has fallen upon the Cabel household. There is only one question. Who is the wolf, and who is a servant of God?
While Solomon Kane hunts in the nearby forest for answers, the wife of Nathan Cabel, a Gypsy Woman who commands nature magic, attempts to cure her son of Lycanthropy. There are only a few hours left before the full moon peaks out over the Black Forest. Germans beware! Your very lives and souls are in danger!
What event caused Nathan Cabel to forsake the very god he prayed to for salvation? Does his wife hide any dark secrets from her past? Why did Justin Cabel run from Solomon Kane when the Puritan attempted to save his life? Collect the series to find out!
Review
The art layout is a bit ho-hum in issue two of Solomon Kane, but the story rocks! Ralph Macchio does a fantastic job with what is essentially your standard werewolf mystery plot. Not saying that’s bad. Werewolves have always been my favorite horror character type. I give this issue a solid four out of five stars.
