“Night Of The Death Stalkers!”
Forced to retreat from the English moors, Count Dracula has returned to the snow filled streets of London. His first priority is to feed the never-ending thirst which drives his every thought. In a flash the vampire lord changes into bat form. Within thirty minutes Dracula finds his first victim leaving a pharmacy near Piccadilly.
The woman casually strolls through the streets while admiring the moonlight glimmer off the ice covered rooftops of downtown London. As she turns the very next corner a swarm of black rats blocks her pathway home. The woman takes a step back but her only escape route is now blocked by Dracula himself.
Someway, somehow, the woman screams out Dracula’s name as if she has known this demon for centuries. As the Count reflects on the possible reasons his dinner would know his name, the woman pulls a large Crucifix from underneath her winter jacket. She holds aloft the Christian symbol repelling the Lord of Vampires in full retreat.
In moments the Rats begin to disperse as the creature controlling their thought has disappeared. The woman thanks the training she received from her father, the son of Johnathan Harker, Quincy Harker. It seems the fates have destined the Harker family to a life battling Dracula’s forces of evil.
Will Dracula find a new army of young assassins to aid him in destroying Frank Drake and his meddling friends? Can Quincy Harker convince Frank to join his team of elite vampire hunters? Is this the end for Frank’s friend Clifton Graves? Collect the series to find out!
Vampire Lore
- Vampires can direct the elements (rain, thunder, and snow).
- Vampires can become like the mist.
- Vampires can command the meaner animals (the rat and wolf).
- Garlic prevents Vampires from changing form.
Reviewer Notes
Welcome to Quincy Harker’s Subterranean weapons expo! This seasoned vampire hunter has all the latest technology that would make Popular Science writers cream their jeans. The only question remains, can his teammates figure out how to use the stuff?
This is another action packed issue with plot twists. We are given several more of Abraham Van Helsing’s tips and tricks for hunting and killing vampires. Some from the previous issues are disputed by a reader in the Letters to the Editor section at the back of the book. Will Quincy’s new toys help defeat Dracula? Only time will tell. Until then, I’m giving this issue four out of five stars.
