“To Kill A Vampire!”

Edith Harker had been slain by the hand of her own father! Dracula has shown that his evil has no bounds. As Quincy Harker and his team of vampire hunters pay their last respects to the deceased, Blade argues with his new allies about their timing. They can mourn later. Dracula is on the loose!

Elsewhere, the vampire lord has just added another unwilling servant to his legion of followers. A young woman caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, rescued from a mugger’s knife, falls victim to Dracula’s nightly feeding. In London, creatures of the night have become the biggest threat to an unaware populace.

Why is Blade so insistent that the Harkers rush into prolonged combat? What happened to Eric Brooks’ mother on the eve of his birth? How many of Dracula’s sleeper agents walk the streets of London proper? Collect the series to find out!

Vampire Lore

  • Vampires can place mental control on a person through their bite. The victim becomes unaware of being attacked, but can be “activated” over vast distances with a vampire’s “Mental Call”.

Reviewer Notes

This was a killer issue with the origins of Blade being laid out. The no-named vampire, Deacon Frost, would learn later that he will rue the day he messed with Blade. But that’s a story for another day.

This is a major key issue for a reason. Any fan of Dracula or Eric Brooks (aka Blade) needs this book in their collection. I give it five out of five stars. It’s elementary, my dear Watson.
