“Werewolf By Night – Part 02”
The Darkholder cult has been made whole again thanks to their new patrons and, um… leader, the Hood. While the remanence of the Blood Hunt invasion sets up shop in Dracula’s old castle, across the pond, Elsa Bloodstone pledges to help Jack Russell recover from his Darkforce rage.
Now Elsa must seek help from the one responsible for restoring the moon to its former glory – the god Konshu. The elephant in the Midnight Mission is the rocky relationship between Moon Knight and Jack. It seems Marc Spector is still sore over a certain werewolf kidnapping his daughter.
Will Jack Russell ever be invited back for tea and crumpets at the Midnight Mission? Can Elsa Bloodstone coerce Konshu into revealing how he restored the Earth’s moon? How many Darkholders does it take to rebuild the Darkhold? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
I’m loving this new series even if Marvel is pulling a fast one with the sealed covers. Any ploy to get comic book fans to buy more books than they need is not cool with me. Other than that, Jason Loo’s story is fun and artist Sergio Dávila can draw excellent splatter. I hope both guys remain on this series as lead creators.
I give issue two of “Werewolf By Night: Red Band” four out of five stars. Jack is back in a big way. I just hope Konshu doesn’t screw things up for him.
