“Werewolf By Night – Part 08”
Darkholder Castle – Transylvania, former residence of Vlad Dracula, Jack Russell has become a husk of his former self. The Demon Queen, Lilith, has used her sorcery to drain every drop of blood from the Werewolf by Night, except one. With this, Jack used his knowledge of the Darkhold book to cast himself into the spirit realm. Now he fights desperately against the vampires and Chthon-spawned werewolves who wish to take the final spark.
Back in the United States, Elsa Bloodstone is facing a major dilemma. Her new team of “monster hunters” have become a major gamble in her professional opinion. The young Avenger in training, Reptil, is still growing peach fuzz in her eyes. Yeah, sure he can transform into a full-fledged Ankylosaurus, but he’survival still fifteen years old.
Jake Gomez, the Arizona-based Werewolf by Night, has some major control issues. He claims to have solved the recent temperament set forth by the Blood Hunt event. Music seems to soothe the savage beast. He just needs to prove it to Elsa before they reach New Orleans. The doctor she keeps referring to seems to despise lycanthropes. No matter, the full moon is up ahead, just over the ridge.

Ghosts! We have werewolf ghosts! What a fun episode this one was. The fight scenes are the bread and butter here, and seeing what Reptil can do with his body is truly amazing. Dinosaurs are always a hit with kids. I love it! This big kid gives Werewolf By Night: Red Band #8 four out of five stars.
