My Rating
“Night On The Town”
Two space aliens and a squad of Maldorian robot cops have just beamed out of a microwave oven inside Goldie’s Grub Diner. Now Las Vegas’ smallest casino and eatery has just doubled their maximum occupant count. Someone call the fire marshal!
Not to worry. Hollywood’s newest crime fighter, the Blue Devil, just so happens to be in a booth eating lunch. Even superheroes have to eat sometimes. The only problem is the lack of apple pie. One second, Daniel Cassidy had pie in his hands. The next, a hulking alien snatched the dessert from his suit-infused hands! It’s time to show those interlopers how Earth handles pastry theft!
Will thieves from Las Vegas join forces with wanted men from beyond the stars? Can the Blue Devil make it to his movie premiere party in Los Angeles before the studio execs fire him? What is the secret identity of the Bolt? Collect the series to find out!
“Driving Force”
A bonus story featuring the newest toy line Flash Force 2000 by Matchbox.
Review
DC Comics certainly had an underrated gem with Blue Devil. Dan Mishkin and Gary Cohn had a talent for combining the perfect amount of action, humor, and 1980s snarky attitude in their characters. Combined with the bonus story, I give Blue Devil number six a rock solid four out of five stars.
