“Scare Tactics”
Rejection is such a bummer! Why doesn’t Josie McCoy know talent when she sees it? Alexandra Cabot’s voice would add a breath of fresh air to the Pussycats. Yeah, right. Bad breath, that is.
Say hello to The South Side Serpents. Josie, prepare to have your haunted house gig at the Eyegore Estates taken from you. Alexandra has a new group and a new sound! Will the local residents dig the new sound?
“The Ghost Of Dark Valley Manor”
The gig is Saturday and the girls have no place to practice! Why do relatives have such finicky music tastes? No more home rehearsals. With the Cabot mansion out of the question, the Pussycats have been offered space at the old Dark Valley Manor. But that place was featured in the local paper as the most haunted place in Riverdale. No way, Mr. Cabot!
“Breath Of Evil”
A strange necklace has been found near a record store downtown. Now the Pussycats must find its owner before Valeria starts lecturing Josie on honesty. What happened to finders keepers? If only Melody knew what the other two girls were talking about.
As they start walking home, Josie puts on the necklace for safe keeping. Hey, why so rude, Josie Mccoy? That’s no way to talk to your friends! Or, is it? Finders keepers, one. Losers weepers, zero.
“Hair With Flair”
The Pussycats hit the stage in ten minutes, and Melody Valentine just can’t seem to brush Josie’s hair into that punk look fans are accustomed to. Has she lost her touch?! Five minutes and counting! What can Melody try next to save the gig? The answer is a bit “shocking”.
Review
Put another checkmark in the win column for Josie and the Pussycats. They face many challenges in this 2025 Annual Spectacular. From ghosts, horrific competition, to lack of practice space. The girls face it all and still come out on top. Thanks to the help of Archie Comics veterans like Dan Parent and Frank Doyle for keeping the characters alive and relevant. I give this annual four out of five stars.
