“Girl Can’t Help It – Part 05”
It’s Punch Club night in Central Park, but where is Jenny? The new jackets have just arrived and they are Satin! Don’t look now but Power Man and Iron Fist are peanut butter and jealous. Sorry boys, you opted out.
High above the park an out of control fight has started on the main deck of the Scoundrel’s space yacht. Yes, the secret rendezvous has turned into a fist throwing match between She-Hulk and the Scoundrel. Love means nothing when a nuclear bomb is in the mix. Time to exit stage left and find that nuke!
Will She-Hulk and Jack of Hearts make amends before Manhattan goes thermo-nuclear? Is that an Interstellar horde? No, seriously, is that another Interstellar horde? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
Well, looks like we’ve reached the final issue in Volume 04 of the She-Hulk series. Don’t worry, as they are relaunching the series in October as the Sensational She-Hulk. I’m not surprised the series is ending. It was lackluster at best. It was originally tied in with the Reckoning War special event, and then Rainbow Rowell tried her best to make this all about the romance.
I would say I’m excited for the return of the Sensational She-Hulk series, but Andrés and Rainbow are involved, so not holding my breath. Overall this issue is another three star attempt. As a series as a whole I’m giving it a three star review. I can’t remember more than three or four issues that really stood out. The real bummer for me was the poor attempt at the fourth wall break. It was badly done and unnecessary in my humble opinion. Sorry Rainbow, but I was looking for something more along the lines of the original Sensational She-Hulk series.
