“Heart Of Stone!”
With Shockwave defeated and S.T.A.R. Laboratories’ sample of super kryptonite secured, Dan Cassidy has accepted Dr. Klyburn’s help in removing the Blue Devil suit from his body. Over the next few hours, Jenet and her team perform various high-resolution scans to determine the best way to remove the demonically infused movie prop. The diagnosis doesn’t look good for the Hollywood stuntman. The best scientists in Metropolis have no immediate solutions for counteracting the magic binding Dan to his creation.
Later that day, at the Metropolis International Airport, one of Dan Cassidy’s co-stars in the Blue Devil movie arrived from Hollywood to support her friend in his hour of need. As Sharon walks through the terminal a breaking news report being played on the overhead television screens catches her attention. A hostage situation was unfolding at S.T.A.R. Laboratories. The villain known as Metallo had seized the building in search of the kryptonite Dan Cassidy had recovered the day before. Now the Blue Devil was in danger once again, and it was all Sharon’s fault!
Can the inexperienced superhero in blue vanquish the man with a kryptonite heart? Will Superman be able to assist in the hostage rescue while his one weakness radiates through the walls of S.T.A.R. Laboratories? Who is the man behind the Metallo mask? Collect the series to find out!

Fun, fun, fun! What else can I say? Modern comic book writers should take note, this is what old school readers like me are looking for in their superhero titles. Dan Cohn and Dan Mishkin lead the charge in this truly entertaining action comedy.
I don’t know anything about the Metallo character, but I assumed that being powered by green kryptonite would make him an elite badass. That’s not really the case here in Blue Devi issue number three. The Blue Devil takes on Metallo and his mercenaries while Superman is forced out of the battle zone. It doesn’t even seem to be a fair fight. Dan Cassidy proves he has the moves and the technology to handle anything people throw at him.
Hopefully, he will be freed from his latex-covered mechanical creation soon. I don’t think Hollywood starlets are into blue skin and servo-motors. To help Dan Cassidy with his dilemma, I’m giving this issue four out of five stars. Until next time!
