“Mother Of Evil – Part 07”
Swarmed! The gamma powered savage known only as the Incredible Hulk fights against uneven odds deep in the redwood forest of the Pacific Northwest. On any other day this brute savage could defeat overwhelming numbers and then some, but the monsters attacking him on this eve come from hell itself.
The Hulk lands punch after punch, sending the demons rocketing into the surrounding tree line, but their supernatural constitution allows them to recover quicker than any mortal opponent could ever dream. It would take the intervention of Blade and his titanium swords to sway the fight. The devils begin to retreat as the vampire hunter decapitates one after another, sending them back into the forest in which they came.
The threat has been eliminated for now, however one danger still remains. Blade turns to face an amped up Hulk bounding towards him in a battle frenzy. Eric shifts his fighting stance preparing to go on the defensive. He would know within seconds if the Hulk would recognize him as friend or foe. It was one of the longest moments in Blade’s recent history.
Will the Incredible Hulk attack the very man who came to save him? Is the primordial demon known as the Adana responsible for tormenting Dr. Bruce Banner? Can the two heroes save a young boy from demonic possession? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
Blade has his work cut out for him this issue as he helps the Incredible Hulk fight his own personal demons. I haven’t read the new Hulk series, but from what I gathered Dr. Bruce Banner is being stalked across America by a host of random monsters. Is the Adana behind his torment as well? If you know, leave your comments in the comments section below.
There were a few interesting things that caught my attention in Blade issue seven, nevertheless this one was an absurdly quick read. I’m a strong proponent of getting a fair amount of content for the price tag. Marvel Comics has forgotten this somewhere along the way. The art is decent, but the story was just not there. For those who are looking to dive into Blade volume five I would suggest reading them all in one session. You may fill an hour of your time that way. I’m giving this issue of Blade three out of five stars.
