Dark Waters
Kenn Kawa is slowly sinking into the dark abyss of the pacific ocean. Heavy chains have been wrapped around his body, binding him to a heavy concrete block. The chains are tight but he is a student of Harry Houdini. Water loosens and makes things slick. In a matter of seconds Kenn frees himself.
Above on the surface an oil drilling rig is abuzz with activity. A ritual has begun and fellow Challenger, Brenda Ruskin, is the main sacrifice. An elder God is about to be awakened to a world of high technology and metahumans. Will the Challengers of the Unknown arrive in time to save their friend? Collect the series to find out!

If you are an H.P. Lovecraft fan you should enjoy this one. Funny, the issue reminds me of the BP Oil spill. Maybe that one was caused by an elder God too?
