“Strange Science”
Riverdale’s boy genius, Dilton Doiley, has been missing for several days and it will take his biggest rival to save him. Danni Malloy to the rescue! Is she a better scientist? Not exactly. It was Danni’s time machine design that vaporized Dilton in the first place. Yes, yes, technically Dilton made some minor adjustments to the time tech, but we are just splitting hairs here.
Across town Danni has conscripted her best friend Jinx for a most bogus time rescue party. Why, you may be asking. Has the daughter of Satan mastered relativistic distortion theory? How about fractal constructs? Nope. Two words, Demon Powers!
Go ahead Jinx, press the play button on the “Walkman” device, Danni has your back. In a flash of light both girls are sent somewhere into the near future. Maybe “future” isn’t the most excellent word to use in this case. It’s time for Dilton Doiley to face the music and admit artists can be brilliant too.

I think I enjoyed identifying all the sci-fi references more than the actual story here. Was this issue a calling back to a previous event? The monster reference at the end was a bit confusing. If someone knows what Danni and Dilton are referring to please drop me a clue in the comments section.
There was one thing I found off-putting with this issue, and it was in the coloring. I’m not sure if it’s the color combinations, or maybe a problem with the printing, but the art looked dingy. This one-shot comic lacks the polish of the other Chilling Adventures Presents books. I’m giving this issue a two out of five stars. Quality matters.
