“A Clobber In Time”
Welcome to the Krakoa University symposium on superhuman and mutant relations. Tonight’s guest speaker is the legend himself, Benjamin Grimm of the Fantastic Four. Will the loveable blues-eyes make a personal connection with this latest batch of mutant college kids? Nope! Welcome to your biggest PR nightmare yet, Ben.
Meanwhile, outside the spoiled brat Auditorium/Marxist hatchery, Strange time portals begin to open up around the living island. Within seconds hoards of robotic combat troopers begin to swarm the city. As the X-men scramble to roll out the welcoming committee, Ben Grimm and his old drinking buddy Wolverine begin a hot pursuit. The time traveling bandit Ogdu Fraize has used the invasion to distract from his real mission – steal the Krakoa’s Ambrosia brew. Wait, what?
Can Ben and Logan survive Ogdu’s DNA-AUG future tech? Is Ben Grimm really a cis, white male using messianic image-crafting to win over the kids? What is a Fantastic Four Dingus? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
Aw, man, the woke brainwashing has infected the university of Krakoa? Poor Ben gets the full broadside from the spoiled brats and their first world problems. Thankfully Reed Richards designed the perfect gizmo to aid the Thing in hostile negotiations. Say hello to the “PR protocol earpiece”. It is fully programmed to help de-escalate any moronic argument.
It’s been a few weeks since I reviewed the first issue in this series. I speculated that time traveling bad guy was Eugene Strausser from the Damage Control research and development division. I can now disprove that theory. The villain is actually a future dweller named Ogdu Fraize. Do you know this guy? I don’t.
In all, this was a fun issue with a shocking beginning. Who is teaching the mutant college students that woke agenda crap anyways? It’s probably Storm. I never trusted that woman. Clobberin’ Time No.2 gets a four out of five star rating from me. Until next time, watch out for that temporal tethering.
