Deep Vault Storage
Intern Gus has bumbled his way through every department at Damage Control except for one. Gus, welcome to the Deep Storage Vault! This facility is so below ground even Moloid ears pop. Just don’t mention crate number 9906763, Intern Bart wouldn’t like it when you mention crate number 9906763.
The head of security quickly puts Gus to work cataloging several new arrivals. Gus tries to create small talk with Jay, but a disturbance in quadrant 7A squashes any meet and greet time they might have had. Oh well, time to get busy.
A frown comes to Gus’ face as he opens his first crate. It’s filled with old tech skateboards designed by someone named Rocket Racer. What year is it, 1978? A large cardboard box is filled with unused tubes of super-polymer adhesive with the expiration date 01/01/1963. Who is Paste-pot Pete? This might be the dullest day in young Gus’ short career. Wait, who is in his head and why are they promising snacks? Time for some chow!
What happened to Intern Hank Johnson in quadrant 7A? How many axes does Thor have anyway? Is there really an abridged version of the Darkhold? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
Wow, Adam Goldberg and Hans Rodionoff really did their research on this one. The deep storage vault has something for Marvel fans of all eras. My favorite is the Darkhold mentions. My only question is, what really happened to Hank Johnson? Seriously.
At the end of this issue we are given a super secret reveal for Gus (the who, what, when, and where). Let me just say that they explain why Gus eats so much. If you like comedy like me you should enjoy the humor of this series. I’m giving this issue five red symbiotes out of five. Good work team Damage Control!
