“Out Of Retirement!”
Bushroot has taken over downtown St. Canard with his deadly weed growth. Who will stop him now that Darkwing Duck is officially retired? Over in the suburbs Drake Mallard is busy mowing his lawn as Morgana fixes the family some refreshments. Spider-juice anyone. We didn’t think so.
Can Gosalyn convince her dad to leave the life of a boring 9 to 5’er? Will Morgana un-pudding Honker before he melts into the background? What the heck is the Autumn-izer?
Later that evening in Transylvania, Darkwing and the gang take another camping trip into the dark forest of Morgana’s homeland. Will Darkwing get to spend some romantic time with his main squeeze? Not if Moloculo Macawber has anything to say about it! Cue Launchpad Mcquack. He seems to be the most level-headed out of the bunch, and that’s saying something.
Will Moloculo give up his new sidekick for his daughter’s return? Can Darkwing pilot the Thunderquack on his own accord? Is there an easier way to mow the lawn in the suburbs of St. Canard? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
This is another fun time waster for the hard-core fans of the original television series. There isn’t much depth for readers looking for long drawn out plots or character development. It is what it is, and that’s fine.
The book is well produced but not for everyone. If you like 1990’s Disney cartoons this may be for you. I’m giving Darkwing Duck No.04 four out of five stars. Personally I will probably give these comics out as Christmas gifts.
