Dazzler – Volume 03 Issue 02
My Rating

Rating: 3 out of 5.

“Live In Studio”

The Los Angeles concert was a big hit, even with the intentional sabotage attempt. Thanks to Dazzler’s crack publicist, her fans think the fight was just part of the choreography. Bonus!

As Scorpia makes her way through the Orange County correctional system, the band heads across the pond to the next leg of their worldwide tour. But what are the vibes in London? Is the anti-mutant sentiment less of a factor in merry old England? Nope!

Dazzler and her bandmates are about to premiere on the UKBC Radio Lounge Live TV Show, but are they ready for the really tough questions? The host, James Bristol, has a way of getting the most intimate secrets out of his guests. Look out Dazzler, it’s a trap!

Reviewer Notes

I think the art, writing, and production is well done here, but the activist “message” Marvel and DC Comics continue to push has grown so tiresome. It’s time to put a stick in it, guys. As a long-time reader of Marvel Comics, I find this new generation of writers unimaginative and limited in their scope to create inspirational content.

For the series in general, I don’t see it holding the interest of most male readers. The target market seems to be females, ages 13-24, if I had to guess. Unless you’re a hard-core fan of the X-Men, or a Dazzler fan – like me, you may want to skip this one. I give issue #2 three out of five stars.
