“Dreamers of Dreams: Part 03 of 03 – Perchance to Sleep”
Albertus “Magnus” De Groot sends another command to the television screens located high above in the sleep chamber. Each one of his thoughts are transferred along fiber optic lines which are connected to a mainframe computer. His brain waves are then translated by some unknown technology and reassembled into instructions for his mechanical minions. The latest order is to kill the man known in the newspapers as the “Campus Cannibal”.
Fear is the key to immortality and Albertus has opened the lock once again. Can his old nemesis, Baron Winters, stop the sleep ritual from consuming the planet? Does Vanessa Van Helsing control enough psi-energy to destroy the dream intruders for good? Will the Campus Cannibal feed again? Collect the series to find out.
Reviewer Notes
This is the third and final issue in the “Dreamer of Dreams” story arch. The first two books are a little confusing but this issue pieces everything together nicely. The art gets a little more blocky in this issue, but the writing is still solid. Marc Wolfman even ties this story back to the original 1986 series run.
