The battle between gods and man has reached the walls of Emberfall. Now the necromancer who started the entire war is about to gain an unholy ally. Red Sonja has been tricked into bringing the very soul of Erlik, the death god, before Kulan Gath himself. But will the Hyrkanian war maiden foolishly hand over the one thing that will doom humanity?
On the other side of the battlefield, the god Ymir continues to push his wild hunt further into enemy lines. The undead forces of Kulan’s army, however, begin to consolidate and hold their positions. Now, hundreds of forest creatures begin to attack the flanks of those that lay waste to their lands earlier in the day. It is mass chaos on a scale unseen since the time of the great calamity.

The end to this never ending story is within sight! Will we get the conclusion to Dynamite Entertainment’s Red Sonja series before I collect my social security? I’m keeping my fingers crossed while I give issue twelve a solid three out of five stars. Maybe if I blew out a birthday cake filled with candles, Dynamite would bless us with a map of the area where the story takes place? Nah, I don’t want to get my hopes up.
