Taken! As the lifeless body of Elsa Bloodstone lays at the bottom of a mountainous ravine, Queen Lilith spirits Jack Russell off to Transylvania using ancient sorcery. Unconscious and bloodied, Jack is about to become an unwilling participant in the Darkholder experiments to resurrect the Darkhold. Reviewer Notes
This was a fun issue with a few surprises. We’ll, one surprise, if you are an Elsa Bloodstone aficionado. With two characters I know very little about – Reptil and Jake Gomez, this issue Red Band gave me some homework today. I always enjoy learning about characters not associated with the lead characters.
The art and writing is a cut above the Marvel norm here. I like it! This book gets a solid four out of five stars. I can’t wait for the next issue!
