Trapped On A Pedestal
The new X-Terminators successfully battled their way out of the vampire arena of death only to be abducted a second time by a cosmic snatch-n-grab. Dazzler soon finds out her d-bag ex-boyfriend has been working with the ancient hoarder known as the Collector. Bummer… Girl-tron powers activate!
Dazzler, X-23, Boom-Boom, and Jubilee awaken to find themselves trapped, like a zillion miles away, in some weird intergalactic zoo filled with alien women variants. Who’s the babe with the horse body? Now it’s time to flush their worries away and play space plumber. Boom-Boom hopes the Collector paid his water bill.
Why does slime-ball Alex remove the clothing racks before the bathroom breaks? Has Dracula come to Krakoa for the sunny weather? What’s with the cosmic condoms? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
Warning: this series is definitely geared towards an adult audience, so you probably want to grab this out of your youngsters’ hands now.
We finally get the backstory which explains how Dazzler and her girlfriends ended up in front of the Quiet Council. Makes sense. I don’t get why Dracula blames them for killing so many vampires though. If Alex and the other suckheads were outcast/runaways from the Vampire Nation, why would he care?
This was another fun issue, but I’m not sure how much further Leah Williams can stretch out this story arch. It’s interesting seeing the Vampire Nation and the Mutant Nation interacting with each other. I’m giving this issue 4 out of 5 stars.
