Scary Christmas: V. Killer Claus

Scary Christmas: V. Killer Claus
My Rating

Rating: 2 out of 5.

“Holiday Hacker”

This year is going to be the perfect Christmas for Rick and Tina. The snow is fresh, the cabin is warm, and there isn’t a single individual around for miles. As the two love-bugs begin preparing for a romantic night in the woods, the newest episode of America’s most deranged murderers has just begun. This one will be a doozy. As Rick goes out to cut firewood, Tina begins to watch the Christmas Edition of the program. Say hello to the Holiday Hacker, Tina…

“Oh No Christmas Tree”

In the Korvatunturi Mountains a wanted man has laid claim to an abandoned cabin. Or, that is what he tells himself. It will be only a matter of time before the heat is off of him. Why not make the best of things? It’s the winter solstice,  why not break out those old Christmas decorations and make a day of it. All ol’ Scutt McAllister needs is the right Christmas tree.

“Straw Claus”

Santa. He sees you when you’re sleeping. He knows when you’re awake. He knows when you’ve been bad or good, except when robbing his estate? Wait, what?! Are two lowlifes really trying to do a B&E on Santa’s workshop? Grab some eggnog and roast some chestnuts, because sh*t is about to get real up in here!

Reviewer Notes

I’m a newer fan of American Mythology Productions, and I’ve liked what I have read so far, but their Scary Christmas release just didn’t do anything for me. The art and production hold up to the publisher’s other works. However, the writing here seems very sophomoric in comparison. I just did not care for this anthology, as none of the stories seem to shine. I give Scary Christmas 2024 a meager two out of five stars. Better luck next year.
