“Suspicion Confirmed!”
KSF-TV news reporting, yesterday our investigative team uncovered shocking evidence at the Regency Theater of a true life haunting. During the nighttime stake out one of our own, Johnny Drew, disappeared inside the historic landmark. After a thorough investigation of the grounds the San Francisco Police found no trace of Johnny or his abductor. The case will remain open for further review.
Linds Danvers, a KSF junior staff reporter on site during the ghostly attack claims to have witnessed a specter attack Johnny and then spirit him away. Her exact words were “They’re real! Oh my God, They’re real!” We will bring further updates as they come in. Until then, this is the KSF-TV news team signing off.
Will Nasthalthia Luthor uncover the true identity of Supergirl before her uncle loses interest? Can Linda Danvers recover her powers after being poisoned by the villiness Starfire’s? Is there really a ghost haunting the old Regency Theater in downtown San Francisco? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
It’s 1971 and the Scooby-Doo mystery formula is in full effect here in issue 407. Supergirl has lost her powers temporarily and is relying on her deduction skills to solve the case. What a fun read this was.
On a side note, apparently DC was running a contest for the readers to design Supergirl’s new uniform. They call it the “invulnerable uniform” since apparently Linda had lost her bulletproof status. You can thank the scientists at the bottle world of Kandor for the tech, and Anthony Kowalik of Harvey, Illinois for the tacky look. Sorry kid, don’t quit your day job.
This issue gets four ghostly stars out of five. Time to grab your walkie-talkies and the infa-red film and go hunt those ghosts! Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
