Army Of Darkness Forever – Volume 01 Issue 03

Army Of Darkness Forever – Volume 01 Issue 03

My Rating

Rating: 4 out of 5.

“The Medieval Dead!”

1300 AD – The Lady Sheila is in a race for her life. Delta, the horse that carries her at top speed through the dense English forest, is spry and full of energy, but the deadites are in close pursuit and the steed grows winded. The harpies’ speed is unmatched by most living things but on this day the arrows of Henry the Red’s men would deter their chase as Sheila reached her nearby allies.

2093 AD – Future Ash argues with the digital essence of the 12th Century Wiseman who once brewed the potion that has trapped him here in this apocalyptic world of supernatural droidites. Why should he quest once more for the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis? The holographic projection of King Arthur’s wizard delivers a solemn awakening to S-Mart’s sporting goods manager. “There is no other way back”.

Will Future Ash accept a quest to recover all of the scattered pages of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis? What is that half a Terminator 2000 looking wannabe who just punched Future Ash in the face? Can shit cleaner Ash handle a senile old customer along with his incompetent coworkers? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

I think George Lucas is going to sue somebody! Didn’t Lucasfilms Ltd. LLC used to sue people at the drop of a hat for even whispering the word “droid” in any context? Well, welcome to 2093 AD, the post-apocalyptic world infested by the evil droidite army.

I’m not sure how much of this material was originally written for the follow-up movie to Army of Darkness, but it’s pretty awesome so far. The story continues as the deadites are being fought over three separate time periods. Will the original Ash please stand up? Please stand up? If you are a fan of the Evil Dead series you are going to want this series. I’m giving issue three of Army of Darkness Forever four out of five stars. This one is a hoot.
