Challengers of the Unknown – Volume 03 Issue 10

My Rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.

“Broken Spirits”

Hershey was a multimillionaire philanthropist, social engineer, and construction mogul. He believed in creating small self-contained cities, giving its residents a clean and safe place to live. He built many of these communities in the American southwest.

There were some minor headaches in past projects, but nothing like this. Hershey’s latest city was constructed with new space age alloys and the latest technology. The inhabitants seemed content for a time, then the apparitions started to appear.

It was random at first. Then ghosts were being seen in all parts of the city. Was it some type of mass hysteria? Could it be the drinking water? The problem was swept under the rug for a time. It had to be something explainable.

Next madness set in. Many residents of Hershey’s city were going insane. Ghosts seem to be on everyone’s mind. Time to call in some professional investigators. Time for the Challengers of the Unknown!

Reviewer Notes

We have ghosts! We have Brenda Ruskin’s backstory! This is a very thought out adventure with actual science thrown in the mix. I would suggest reading the letters from the readers section as well. There are some interesting criticisms from the fans but not in a bad way. Superman is brought up as well. I’m giving this issue five stars.
