Who Knows Where The Time Goes?
Trapped in a realm where time has no meaning, Robin is being interrogated at gun point by a squad of American green berets. Moments before, he was following an old man through the foggy streets of Gotham, next the vigilante was behind enemy lines in 1960’s Vietnam. How can this be? Their uniforms are authentic, the M-16 rifles are of the time. How can this be real?
Elsewhere, at another point in time, the Challengers of the Unknown and Batman are performing their own investigations. Mr. Sands, the Challengers financial backer, has tricked the group into following him into this temporal vortex. Before the others can probe Sands for details on this strange phenomenon the Dark Knight lashes out. Where is Robin!
Is the bright light which Mr. Sands witnessed during WWII the same light the squad of green berets experienced 1968? Can there really be a place with no time stream, but also all time at once? Will Batman get a second chance to save his mother and father? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
This is a really cool science fiction concept story. Steven Grant keeps the mysterious bright lights explanation under wraps. It’s kind of irritating, but hopefully it is fleshed out in a future issue. Another five star issue of the Challengers of the Unknown.
