My Rating
“She’s Not There”
Things have changed for Patsy. Her path seemed straight in New York. The temp agency was taking off with the backing of her mother’s inheritance. Then one domino fell after another.
Hedy was no help. Patsy’s life long frenemy was always a thorn in her side – even when playing nice. It was Hedy’s upbringing. Patsy always took the high road, but these days the road was running out quickly.
After a short time teaming up with playboy philanthropist Tony Stark, Patsy moved back into her family home in Centerville – California. Attempts at sorting things out became difficult with all the old ghosts lingering about, literally. Dorothy Walker, the mother of Hellcat, has returned to haunt her daughter Patsy. Is this a sick joke?
Why have the Police arrested Hellcat for the murder of one Spalding Grantham? Have the dream police gotten inside her head? What is blocking Hellcat from using her psychic abilities? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
She…back… Patsy Walker a.k.a. Hellcat! It seems I’ve missed a big chunk of backstory since the 2017 conclusion of her solo run. The last thing I remember was Jennifer Walters winning a case for Patsy, giving her full access to Dorothy Walker comic book royalties. Patsy had also launched a successful superhero for hire temp agency. I hope everything straightens out for our frisky redhead.
This new series has already won my loyalty. Can you say Sleepwalker? Woot! As a holder of the complete run of old Sleepy, I want to give a 1990’s Cool Beans shout out. I’m also happy to see Rick Sheridan is still the host. Fun times are ahead. I’m giving issue number one 4 out of 5 stars.
