My Rating “Dracula” It was a grueling 32-hour trip from New York to the Drake family’s ancestral homeland, inconveniently located somewhere in the heart of Transylvania. The flight layovers were long, the food was terrible, and now Frank, Clifton, and Jeanie are stuck driving up a narrow mountain road in the middle of a nasty
My Rating “Eye of the Beholder” The passing hours feel like decades to Jack Russell as he stands motionless in the garden of Miles Blackgar. It is not by choice, for when one is turned to stone, being a statue leaves very few options. Yet somehow, Jack can still form thoughts. How is that possible?
My Rating “No Time Like the Present” Berlin – Germany, 1944, somewhere along the front lines a pair of U.S. soldiers are dug in and standing watch. There hasn’t been any Kraut activity in days and boredom is setting in. Then without warning the two combat hardened Americans are overrun by something dark and sinister.
My Rating “The End of the World As We Know It!” The Millennium Giant known as Cabraca has just walked through the heart of Mexico City, leaving a river of lava in his wake. To no one’s surprise, Blue Superman has failed to stop the carnage. But all is not lost. The Justice League of
My Rating Number One In A Four-Issue Limited Series Little Lost Girl The summer of 1983 is plagued with dark events. Storm and a small team of X-Men were just teleported back to the grounds of the X-Mansion. Their rescue mission into the limbo dimension was a complete failure. The smell of brimstone fills the
My Rating “Today Is a Long Time Coming” The old joke goes, “Two Challengers of the Unknown walk into a bar…” and the hijinks follow. Clay Brody sits down for a drink at an upscale sports bar somewhere on the north side when a booming voice catches his attention. Someone in the corner is loudly
My Rating “The Perception of Doors” Jared Stevens just saved planet Earth from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. You would think someone might say thank you. Instead, Fate is sitting behind bars awaiting trial! News of the bloodbath at the international peace talks in Switzerland has spread around the globe, but the cameras didn’t
My Rating “The Final Gathering” Last time, Fate escaped death with a little help from a goth-lookin’ wannabe process server. Now the agent of the Lords of Order has an even bigger problem—he has to go to space court! What?!? The Sentinel, Alan Scott, wants the artifacts of Fate, believing they are his rightful inheritance.
My Rating “Swiss Cheese” Fate has been teleported by some unknown force straight into the middle of the World Peace Summit in Switzerland. Jared Stevens has no idea who brought him here or why, and the local authorities aren’t exactly interested in hearing his side of the story. Within minutes, the wielder of the artifacts
My Rating “Dreamers of Dreams – Part 02 of 03: The Face Not Seen, The Voice Not Heard” Cologne, Germany, 1276 A.D. A heavy winter storm slows a nobleman’s carriage as it struggles along the mountain road. Snow and bitter winds punish the horses, but several hours later the weary traveler finally arrives at the
