Blade – Volume 05 Issue 05

My Rating

Rating: 3 out of 5.

“Mother Of Evil – Part 05”

The subtle voice of Stephen Strange woke Blade from his dream-like state. What happened in the past hour would take the vampire hunter days to remember. A battle was fought. Lucifer’s sword was in play, but…the Adana was too strong. The Mother of Evil had destroyed all hope of victory once she had seized the weapon from Blade’s grasp.

Doctor Strange had deduced, after the fact, that the true intentions of the Adana was to claim the Lightbringer sword for her own. It was the catalyst. The results would come in one night of terror. Across the globe men and women began to transform into gross monstrosities, some unrecognizable even to the likes of Blade. Vampires, Werewolves, and Demons alike rampage through city streets in every major city.

It would take one hell of a plan to stop this nightmare. Doctor Strange would force a retreat back to the safety of the Sanctum Santorum. What Blade found there would drive him to reckless abandon.

Can Blade convince the Doctor to open a sling-ring portal to Adana’s hell dimension? What did the Mother of Evil place inside of Tulip that cannot be removed? Will a former enemy come to the aid of the vampire hunter? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

I was wondering when the big guy was going to show up. Will it be enough to save this Hindenburg from total disaster? I hope so because the Blade franchise deserves way better than this.

There is only one question I have at this point. Why did Adana need Blade to retrieve Lucifer’s sword? If she was powerful enough to stop both Blade and Doctor Strange in their tracks, why not just take the sword from the Euro-trash vampire train herself? This made zero sense to me.

I’m giving the issue of Blade three out of five stars. As I’ve stated before, I found it more interesting to research the vehicle that Blade was driving at the end. He always seems to drive the high-end stuff.
