“Hallows Eve – Volume 01 Issue 04”

A standoff at the Beyond Corporation headquarters has cornered Hallows’ Eve and her friends but all is not lost. Janine breaks out the Witch Mask and turns the tide on the hostile negotiations. As the witch races towards the roof of the highrise with Marcus and Simon they realize there is no practical way down to freedom. Time to fly vampire style!

Downtown, Detective Sebbens has just gotten her ass chewed out by the police chief. Apparently there is no Officer Reilly working at the 69th Precinct. Sebbens is at a loss for words as the chief mentions a possible I.A. investigation. Before the chief can hear Sebbens’ retort an entire city block begins to shake under a seismic event. An earthquake in Manhattan?!

Streetside – Beyond Corporation, Janine has landed with her two rescues but Simon has begun to change under the full moon light. Now is the time to try her plan. Does the Werewolf Mask have the ability to reverse the Lycanthropy infection? As Hallows’ Eve struggles with the fully changed Simon her bag of masks is ripped off her body. Marcus attempts to recover the bag but the enchanted Halloween masks spill out onto the sidewalk!

Can a small force of police be able to stop a werewolf and vampire battling in down Manhattan? Will Maxine Danger get her hands on the free-range masks before the seismic event concludes? Will the infected security guard be ridded of the werewolf curse? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

Cliffhanger alert! Cliffhanger alert! Just when you think Janine’s life is complicated enough, wait until the power of the Limbo Dimension hits the streets of New York city. This issue was definitely a nice surprise. I was thinking this was going to be another “string them along” episode. Nope.

I don’t want to spoil the story on this one, so I will just say if you were on the fence about dropping this series, at least get this issue. As a fencesitter myself I thought this was the strongest issue yet. I’m giving this one four out of five stars. I can’t wait to see what the new masks do.
