“Collateral Damage”

Intruder alert! Something is tripping security sensors throughout the ground floor of Steelworks Tower. As the automatic sentry guns begin firing randomly into empty space the building security guards are forced to retreat. Enter Natasha Iron.

The visual scanners in her suit sweep the chaos and record several frames of what looks to be a ghost. Not just any spector, but a naked one! She must be hallucinating, but there is no time to think. Natasha is forced to dodge several energy blasts before backup arrives. Her uncle crashes through the ceiling into the battle scene. Steel has arrived to lock down the security system.

The offices of Walker Inc., executive suite, the bulking security guard for Charles Walker III has just whisked Shawn Kerry in to see the boss. Charles is all too happy to hear how the raid went. Shawn is not pleased at all. What did this lunatic scientist do to him? In the next few minutes Shawn will learn if the metahuman transformation is reversible. If it wasn’t for his daughter he would have ended Charles Walker no matter the size of the bodyguard.

What is the mysterious ghostlike creature who infiltrated Steelworks Tower? Will Superman’s family listen to John Henry Irons proposal in regards to empowering the citizens of Metropolis? Can another Doomsday attack be prevented by the Genesis Energy Core? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

Not a bad issue two. Not bad at all. I haven’t read many newer DC books but I can say I’m impressed by the art and production in this book. The panels with the Silver Mist phasing out looks like old school cell art. Nicely done. I’m digging Michael Dorn’s writing as well. There’s a hint of the woke agenda sprinkled throughout this one. I’m not a fan of that stuff, but if it is kept to a minimum hopefully it won’t sour the series.

I’m giving this one a four out of five stars. This is the only DC title currently on my pull list. Maybe this will be a springboard into other titles for me. Until next time.
