My Rating “The Eleventh Man – Part 02 of 03” The entity must find a new host. The Twelfth Man. And time is running out. Baron Winters and his mysterious fourteenth-century shaman must locate someone capable of accepting the supernatural burden before the entity consumes its current host. Unfortunately, the man strapped helplessly into the
My Rating “The Eleventh Man – Part 01 of 03” Wintersgate Manor, Georgetown, Washington, D.C. Baron Winters and his faithful leopard, Merlin, have settled in for a quiet evening beside the Victorian fireplace. For once, there are no demons knocking at the door, no dimensional invaders threatening the planet, and no supernatural crisis demanding the
My Rating “Not Fade Away” Backstage at the Wormwood Amphitheater, Arnold Burnsteel watches as Nina Skorzeny, Jake Ketchum, and Philbert Hoskins prepare to take the stage. Tonight isn’t just another Scare Tactics concert. This show is a farewell to their fallen friend and bandmate, Jimmy Tilton. Slither was one of them. Unfortunately, Jimmy’s mutations eventually
My Rating “Assisters of Mercy” 2:30 a.m.—high above the darkened streets of Gotham City, its most famous landmark suddenly illuminates the night sky. The Bat-Signal is shining over police headquarters, but there’s one small problem: Commissioner Gordon didn’t turn it on. Within twenty minutes, Gordon comes crashing through the front doors of Gotham City Police
My Rating “Gotham Atrocity” Gotham City, where the creeps never sleep! Nina Skorzeny is busy slam dancing the night away inside a local punk club when a very familiar song starts blasting through the speakers. Wait a minute! That’s a Scare Tactics song—and nobody in the band gave these guys permission to use it. Has
My Rating “The Lycanthropy Bop” The thunder of a half dozen Harley Davidson motorcycles roared through a back alley street somewhere in Eastlyn. The nights in Gotham City always bring out the worst in people. It’s even worse when tourists come to town. Robin is on the prowl tonight and the rogue biker gang has
My Rating “Undead — and Loving It / Wild Things” Late at night, high above on the rooftops of the Gotham Natural History Museum, Catwoman flees from her latest heist. The silver spear was easy to remove from the stone sarcophagus but getting it past the weird priest looking dudes armed with machine guns was
My Rating “The Serpent and the Rainbow / The Downward Spiral” Metropolis, the shining beacon of America, is bustling with activity today. In the downtown shopping district, residents stare into the afternoon sky with bated breath, hoping to catch a glimpse of the city’s youngest hero—Superboy. The young Kryptonian hasn’t been seen around these parts
My Rating “Speed Freak / Paranoid” Somewhere over the swamplands of Alabama, an unmarked Blackhawk helicopter flies low and fast toward an undisclosed destination. Inside the cockpit, the pilot exchanges coded commands with the destination point while Cantrip’s men recount the operation from earlier that day. Back in the cargo hold, the hulking metahuman known
My Rating “Snake Oil” Jimmy Tilton is sick and the group has no idea what to do. The once human turned into a snake like metahuman drifts in and out of consciousness. The memories of his childhood were always bad. All those doctors and all those treatments were nothing compared to the experiments. Jimmy’s father
