Note: This story takes place after issue No.1 of Marvel’s Civil War II (August 2016).

Patsy awakes in cold sweats as a nightmare fades from her subconscious. The visions of Jennifer Walters seemed so real but now they are gone. Something’s not right. Patsy climbs out of bed and grabs her phone. The bad feeling will not go away.

Ian Soo, Patsy’s roommate, joins the troubled woman in the apartment kitchenette. He asks what’s bothering Patsy but gets no response. Patsy frantically tries calling her friend and former employer. There is no response from Jennifer or her alter ego She-Hulk. As full panic sets in, a bright flash of light explodes into their living room. Through a luminous star patterned void flies one America Chavez.

Before Patsy Walker can go into complete meltdown mode America explains the situation. A battle took place between Thanos and Team Ultimates resulting in the death of War Machine. She-Hulk was also mortally wounded. The green giantess now lays in a coma somewhere deep inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. Triskelion complex. No other news has hit Patsy Walker the way this has.

Will America Chavez be able to teleport Hellcat inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility before things turn bad to worse? Who will cover Jennifer’s court cases for the foreseeable future? Can Howard the Duck really beat Thanos in a fight? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

Since I don’t have the Civil War II series my knowledge of the event is very limited. Patsy Walker a.k.a Hellcat No.8 focuses on the aftermath of She-Hulk being in a coma. Two questions came to my mind as I finished the book.

How is She-Hulk in a coma? Doesn’t she regenerate super fast like her cousin Bruce?
How does Jennifer stay in Hulk form while in a comatose state? I thought she transformed back to plain old Jennifer when unconscious?

I give this issue 3 out of 5 stars. Stay away from the light Carol Ann! Stay away from the light!
