Hallows’ Eve
Janine Godbe has always been dealt a bad hand in life. From her childhood abuse, to her cloned boyfriend/crime fighter, ever since she was released from prison Janine has tried to go straight. The lemonade option was never an option for her constant lemon parade. That is until those monsters attack New York city.
The Beyond Corporation used the words Limbo Dimension, whatever that means. Thanks to their ilk, Janine lost her boyfriend Ben to their torturous mind experiments. During the invasion of the demons, a woman calling herself the Goblin Queen laid siege to Manhattan. This stopped Janine from helping her love. Now armed with a bag of supernatural powered Halloween masks, Janine has taken the moniker Hallows’ Eve.
How will New York’s newest antihero handle life on the run? Are the masks a real gift or a curse? Will the Beyond Corporation track down the werewolf bank robber who looted the First National Bank near Battery Park? Collect the series to find out!
Reviewer Notes
I picked this title up as a recommendation. What a treat. Marvel has been introducing some new hero concepts lately. From Mary Jane getting a super-powered wristwatch, to Janine’s bag of Halloween masks, it looks like the creative team is moving in a good direction.
I haven’t read most of the Dark Web story arc but I’m a fan of the Limbo Dimension. S’ym looks to be the culprit in the bag handoff. Oh well, it’s their loss. I’m giving the first issue of Hallows’ Eve 4 out of 5 stars. Hopefully Janine gets her Ben back.
