“Ghosts & Echoes – Part 03: Relentless”
The duel burst forth from the alleyway. One Khoraja guard lay dead, a bloody victim of his own intervention. The man had none of the skills required to apprehend the slayers locked in mortal combat. As Conan would soon find out for himself, even he lacked the ability to stop the supernatural.
In moments, a bluish-green light permeated from the corpse of the Khorajaian. Conan’s eyes widened as the apparent spirit of the dead traversed forward towards the Son of the Tooth. Then the assassin absorbed the energy as a beast consumed carrion. The child of the Woeful Eye had grown in stature and ferocity. Conan now realized this was no mortal opponent. The Tooth was some abomination of Thulsa Doom!
Does Conan the Barbarian have the strength to defeat a godly avatar? Has the Son of the Tooth made one too many mistakes? Who is the woman in room 3-B? Collect the series to find out!
“The Kingdom Of Khoraja”
This is one of the better exposé pieces written by Jeffrey Shanks. Khoraja is one of the most vulnerable but culturally interesting of Robert E Howard’s kingdoms. Shanks gives a very detailed description of the lands of Khoraja. This is something any fan of the Hyborian Age will want to read.
Review
This is the big conclusion to the Son of the Tooth story arch. I’m a bit disappointed with the outcome. However, we get a big reveal at the end. Can you guess which Elder God is behind the Eldritch antics? This issue gets four ghost eaters out of five.
