My Rating “Part 2: Prophet of Doom” Doctor Doom has arrived at Strange Academy in New Orleans to commandeer Zoe Laveau for his latest magical experiment, but the Midnight Suns have gathered in defense of the school. A battle appears inevitable, yet Doom has already lost before anyone casts the first spell. Agatha Harkness has
My Rating “And Unto Dracula Was Born A Son” Several quail erupt from a dense shrub as a bloodcurdling scream shakes them from their slumber. This remote section of the Transylvanian forest is historically quiet, but tonight, talk of witchcraft fills the air. A local woman stands accused of signing a compact with the Devil,
My Rating Review Halloween is almost upon us and this year Marvel Comics has released a second one-shot book inspired by its infamous horror series Crypt of Shadows. Crypt of Shadows originally ran from 1973 through 1975, lasting for 21 issues. The first books featured reprint stories from earlier works, but to compete with the
My Rating “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein” Night began to fall on the Artic tundra as Captain Robert Walton IV pushed his crew further towards their Schooner. The ship had become landlocked in the ice one week prior as heavy storms passed through the region. It mattered little though. The captain and his crew were close to
My Rating “Dracula” It was a grueling 32-hour trip from New York to the Drake family’s ancestral homeland, inconveniently located somewhere in the heart of Transylvania. The flight layovers were long, the food was terrible, and now Frank, Clifton, and Jeanie are stuck driving up a narrow mountain road in the middle of a nasty
My Rating “Eye of the Beholder” The passing hours feel like decades to Jack Russell as he stands motionless in the garden of Miles Blackgar. It is not by choice, for when one is turned to stone, being a statue leaves very few options. Yet somehow, Jack can still form thoughts. How is that possible?
My Rating “No Time Like the Present” Berlin – Germany, 1944, somewhere along the front lines a pair of U.S. soldiers are dug in and standing watch. There hasn’t been any Kraut activity in days and boredom is setting in. Then without warning the two combat hardened Americans are overrun by something dark and sinister.
My Rating “Shattered Worlds” The Millennium Giants have been defeated but the Earth is beginning to crack open like an egg shell. Around the globe massive amounts of lava flow through the damaged ley lines. With each passing minute more cracks begin to form as the Earth’s core purges itself to the surface. The Challengers
My Rating “End Of The World!” Outer space, 65 miles above the city of Metropolis, Red Superman has depleted his total energy output to grow large enough to fly the Millennium Giant Cabraca away from the Earth’s atmosphere. The plan works as the giant’s body begins to crumble into pieces. But within minutes the segments
My Rating “Crossroads” Mexico City, late afternoon, rescue crews are scrambling to give aid where at all possible, but the devastation is incalculable. Lois Lane helps locate the buried but she is interrupted by an incoming jeep. Inside the vehicle are the members of the Challengers of the Unknown. Marlin and his team have come
