One-Shot
The Earth is at its zenith. As the sun began to dry the oceans, taking with them the life-giving rain, cascading to the death of the planet’s forests, then the grain belts which fed all of us. As foreseen in every apocalyptic science fiction movie, humanity fell upon its own sword. Nuclear war devastated what was spared by Mother Nature’s withering. Now Riverdale sits in the middle of a wasteland filled with mutants, homicidal biker gangs, and a strange new magic agitated by the mighty atom.
Can the redheaded fist of the north find his destiny with the help of a middle-aged witch? Will outlaw Reggie get to see the fire of the north? Does Cheryl run the Barter Round?

The concept and art in this one-shot is awesome. The bummer comes in the form of advertising. It literally takes up half the book. Is this the new Archie format? They could have made something good even better with more story content.
The Archie Vs the World one-shot is a combination of such properties as Mad Max – Road Warrior, Fist of the NorthStar, A Boy and His Dog, and other apocalyptic movies. Again I can’t stress enough how cool the art is. Hopefully there will be many follow-up stories in lines of Chilling Adventures and Werewolf Jughead. This is a five star production. I just wish it was longer.
