Supernatural Thrillers – Volume 01 Issue 12

Supernatural Thrillers V01 N12
My Rating

Rating: 4 out of 5.

“The War That Shook The World!”

Under the dome! The primordial beings known as the Elementals have returned to Earth, bringing death and destruction to the people of Cairo. With their control over N’kantu severed, the only way to retrieve the ruby scarab now is by turning mortal men against each other. How did the Living Mummy defeat Zephyr?!

Mankind has grown both mentally and technologically in the eons since Atlantis sank beneath the ocean. This time, the task of subjugation will not be an easy one, even for those considering themselves “gods”. Now the Elementals have generated an impenetrable dome over the city, trapping both allies of N’kantu and the Egyptian population like rats in a cage. As Brother begins to battle Brother, Doctor Skarab and Richard Harper search ancient scrolls stored in the university library for clues on how to activate the ruby scarab artifact. It is the only thing that can save man from the Elementals.

Will N’kantu help protect Skarab and the Asp from bloodthirsty rioters as the two search for papyrus scrolls? Can Miles Odan survive the curse of elemental dehydration? Have the local residents angered their gods in turn for worshiping false idols? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

Emotions are high as the Elementals begin their assault on modern-day Egypt. There is no holding back as violence and incineration are depicted in grand detail here. Parents, be warned, this book is not meant for small children. With that said, this issue was a blast!

I kept waiting for the Avengers to show up, but this story takes place before that team had global surveillance. Too bad. If only the Living Mummy could bring together a team of monsters. That would be something! I give Supernatural Thrillers #12 four out of five stars.
